Student Visions believes that family is at the heart of all learning environments.

Many students thrive in families that provide love and respect for one another, unconditional acceptance, willingness to share and actively listen. Others emerge with inner strength, courage and compassion despite having lived in a virtual war zone. But no matter where and how they were raised, students who are encouraged by a caring attitude to believe in themselves and allow for the well-being of others.

We believe that our students’ success is not determined by their income, social class, ethnicity, or any of the categories that our culture uses to define its members. Rather, success is grounded in the relationships students have with their families, and the values their families teach by word and example. We intend that such relationships continue in their learning experiences. We care about each student and demonstrate this in the way we look out for him or her. We want to be a part of each student’s “family” outside the home.
