Employment
When our students are hired as interns, they are given the invaluable opportunity to train for the job they would like to have when they finish school. Having work experience on their resumes gives our students an advantage when applying for permanent work, since an employer who interned a student will often hire him or her after the internship period has ended.
During the internship period, an employer trains a student to work according to the employer's specifications. Both the student and the employer have the opportunity to see whether or not the student is a good fit in that particular work environment.
When the internship period has ended, our students will have gotten over their learning curves. The employer will then have a trained intern to hire, which gives our student an advantage over an inexperienced applicant for the same job.
